I think a lot of Americans want the police to decide who lives and who dies.
Seeing police apologists call the victims “waste cases,” and “no loss to society,” what other explanations are there?
It would explain a lot. It wouldn’t necessarily explain why they excuse police violence against black people, but given prevailing attitudes, it would explain why they excuse police violence against disabled people: they want the police to decide that we die.
