“Okay, so where should I begin? I’ve had a lot of trouble with things going haywire because I'd missed something at the beginning."

*Things go haywire. Maybe new text pops up in a font I don't use. Maybe a numbered list starts getting special formatting, gets broken in two, and gets renumbered as two lists. Maybe every other paragraph gets bolded. Maybe the computer just freezes or crashes. Admittedly most of these happened after someone asked me to work on a Word document that they'd formatted.*
"Okay, what can I do to keep this from going wrong?"
"You're supposed to set document fonts in preferences/use styles/use another word processor because this one is broken and isn't supported any more/etc. What do you mean you've made this whole document without these basic steps?"
"Now, my strobe sensitivity is getting worse. Is there any way to stop the blinking cursor?"
"We rely on system settings/sorry os x doesn't have that setting/there is this one hack/sorry LibreOffice doesn't respond to that hack."

"Where's reload? This thing doesn't have any reload? or revert? I'll have to quit and restart from the old version."
*Word processor saves over old version as I quit.*

(Yes, I currently use a mac. I used to use a Linux machine, but with my disabilities, hardware and driver accessibility were hit-and-miss and mostly miss.)
