I understand. I have much the same reaction to "honor" that you describe to "justice." When I hear "honor" I think of the plantation aristocrat beating an abolitionist for the insult of telling the truth about slavery. I think of the German generals serving Hitler. Abd the aristocratic/militaristic concept of "honor" and the vengeance-seeking concept of "justice" seem to go hand-in-hand, seeking terrible punishment for imagined slights...
